I finally decided, well, didn't have much of a choice, on what tires to get with my new wheels. I ended up getting the Nitto Terra Grapplers at a pretty decent price and they fit my setup so I pulled the trigger.

I really wanted the ProComp Xtreme AT's since they just look tough as nails but I must say, the Terra Grapplers butched up the looks of the 1st gen nicely.

The wheels are Ultra Mako Type 243, 18x8.5, 6x5.5, 0 offset, 4 3/4 backspace.
The tires are Nitto Terra Grapplers 285/65/18 (33x11.5) 10 Ply E rated.
The "lift" is a 3/1.5 Toytec level kit.  (3" strut spacer up front, 1.5" AAL at rear)

The first thing I noticed with the Nitto's is it felt like I was driving on ice even though the road was dry. I would turn the steering wheel ever so slightly left to right and it felt as though the back end was going to slide out.  I guess that's to be expected with a 10-ply E rated tire.

The appearance of the tires is much better than I thought it would look. I wanted an aggressive looking tire and the Terra Grappler definitely has an aggressive look.

Comparison of stockers and customs

Not much of a difference in width and height but then again, the stockers dont have two tons of truck sitting on top of them.

Nice looking Tundra. The rims and tires really set it off. Do you notice any difference in the ride after the lift? I went with the SkyJacker 3" strut and the ride is really stiff. Wondering if I should have gone with the ToyTec instead. Your truck looks great man. 5 ***** Check out my Tundra and get back with me on the way your truck rides with the toytec. Thanks

The sound of the exhaust in the video isn't all that great but I will say that the longer I have the exhaust, the louder it gets. A good friend of mine had the exact same exhaust on an 07 Tundra 5.7L and he said his got louder over time. It's not too loud and not too quiet. The exhaust is the Gibson Dual Extreme Stainless cat-back system. (http://www.gibsonexhaust.com/truckandsuv/)
