These are my babies, they are based off of 1985 Dodge Chargers. They run a 3/8ths mile circle track in Bradenton Florida, Desoto Speedway.

The track is banked 12 degrees in the corners and 6 degress on the straits. More information about the track can be found on later pages
The first car is the original car I started with back in 2001. It's what the track calls a "Mini Stock". Basically, we have to keep most of the engine and chassis parts factory stock. The modifications that are allowed are a Holly 350 2 barrel carb and 8 inch Goodyear racing radials. The cars in the division are made up of mid 1980s compact 4 cyl cars. Mainly Toyota Celicas, Ford Mustangs, and Dodge Chargers. We do have a few Ford Pintos and Chevy Cavailers that have run at the track as well. The picture you see here is of the car with the original stock steel hood in 2001. We give this picture out to kids and sign autographs on it. These cars run lap times in the 17.60 second range, which equates to appox. 76.70 mph average lap speed.
This is our new car, another 1985 Dodge Charger. This car is a "Modified Mini". Basically, it is a 4 cyl late model, and a step up from the Mini Stock. We are allowed tube frame chassis and fairly unlimited motors. The division is made up of some of the best drivers at the track, including 2002 champion Steve Gill, brother to Hooter's Pro Cup Dominator, Bobby Gill. The division is made up of Nissans, Toyotas, Fords, and Dodges. These cars turn lap times in the 16.70 second range, which equates to appox. 80.84 mph lap speeds.
