FINALLY....got the "1984" personalized liscense plate in...and next year,,,around this time,,,I will tag this Nissan as an "antique", just like I did my Yota today.



I took the mudflaps off my 95 nissan 2wd, cleaned them up, am going to paint the black rivets black, and will white letter the word "NISSAN" on there. Fabricated mounts and will post after the paint dries, and get them mounted.


got the KC Lite covers in. I believe this little bastard looks BETTER, without the plastic fender skirts on the body that go over the fender wells. I sanded and painted 1 last night (fender skirt) and got it to look good. Yet, without the skirt, it makes the truck look taller. I owned a brand new 82 back in the day (stock roll-bar with datsun written on it, AND a stock WARN 3000 lb wench) I took the skirts off it to fit a bigger tire, and not rub, and the bigger tires raised my ground clearance by a couple of inches. And, Again, truck looks taller (more like a 4 wheel drive?) i guess with skirts off.
SO,,,,tell me ya'lls comments, would like to know different opinions,,,and I'll take that black over-spray paint off the blue rear front 1/4 panel...(see below)

I took the fender skirts off,,had some black pieces of rubber trim on the top side,,,


I took off front side of my nissan 2wd,,,1995,,,,mudflaps,,,and will try to fabricate them to conform to the 84.....the hell of - this pic below is,,,underside got sprayed/coated with black rubberized paint,,,look on drivers side paint on door, and in that front 1/4 panel, there is OVERSPRAY from the underneath,,,to where the fender skirts rest.,,...right in front of running board.2 shots of black on blue, rear skirt looks ok.


found ANOTHER datsun model on ebay,,,that...+ manuals,,,,getting my homework together,,,,Blown head gasket,,,started blowing anti freeze again,,(so,,,stop leak radiator repair worked for a good 2 months,,,passed emissions test)...IE,,white smoke outta tailpipe,,,,so i guess,,,instead of blowing a valve straight into top of piston,,,I guess I'm gonna have to rebuild the little bitch.....SEE YA'LL IN A YEAR !!!!! (already got cherry picker from neighbor gearhead...)

found a little datsun on ebay.....(winter project)....painted it blue...


...look over there at drivers side fender well,,,got a little lite there...LOL,,,had a bad groung coming off firewall,,,,give it a new terminal,,,took switch out and cleaned it, checked continuity of all wires,,,,all good.....


i got to studying on them fender skirts,,,on inside of fender well,,,,that has to with stand the heat from the exhaust manifold, and conversely,,,the water / mud from tires....so,,,,,another neighbor of mine cut off some roofing material,,,,hell,,its made out of rubber and tar,,,i cut it to size tonight,,,and this is what i got/ended up with,,,,not neccessarily a finished product,,,im sure i'll be back to work on this crap too,,,,,,i think i need new shocks too,,,,




ok,,,so i pulled a prank on my daughter cathy,,,by tin foiling her room,,,she got me back by "posted note",,,my nissan/ datsun...LOL


...ran the little bitch outta gas today,,,on purpose...found out it's a 13.1 gallon tank (new) for a 2WD...not 19 gal. like a 4X4...oh well,,,at least it's a new tank...front-end ' s been popped//wrecked.....oh well...the everything is off...LOL...in the front end,,the little dammit is out a line of the flaggamalator...and the phillips screwdriver was left-handed,,,then I got handed a counter clockwise hammer...,so who the hell knows,,,,,






ok,,,so i started screwin with the interior....,,,,,from neighbors suggestion,,..,,,,,he said,,,u got a hot glue gun???....so......i put some of the vinyl back together.......gear shift and 4x4 engage....

RE-tourqin head bolts......what u cant see here, cause plug wires in the way, 2 top bolts are missing from xhaust manifold, to the head, 8 bolts total go into head from xhaust, and this little basTARD missing 2.....hhhhggmmmmm...

...OK SO HERE GOES....receipts from original owner over past 2 years...
new 5th gear fork, water pump, ball joints .,plugs x2, rear main seal, crankshaft seal, a/c expansion valve, receiver/dryer, oring, R-134 converter kit, fuel filter, gear oil, oil and filter, pitman arm,clutch kit?, idler arm, 4 wheel alignment, valve cover gasket, oil pan gasket,a/c pulley, Carb. kit,fuel pump, fuel filter (again),fuel tank, clutch master and slave cylinder, right rear seal,wheel cylinder x 2, brake shoes, brake pads, front rotor x2, remanufactered Distributor,wipers, Diff. bearing, wheel bearing, all belts,,,


...LOL....after 1 day,,,i find all the damn flaws.....ok here goes the flaws//..actual hole in the valve cover (metal) not the plastic gasket,,,the ACTUAL VALVE COVER (metal) got a hole in it...drivers side seat belt..no tension,,ac works fine,guages work fine,,bench seat is not too good,,,cant adjust,,..tilt steering wheel works good,,,who cares...im retired,,,LOL,,something to work on.....6-27-09,,,just got it,,,Head Gasket is blown,,,this ought to be fun....


ok,,,,the bad drivers side seat belt extended all way out was because,,????? the people who put the alpine speakers in,,,got their extra wires caught in seat belt gears...LOL,,,,the seat (bench) would not adjust ,,,,but I manually adjusted it with a pair of pliers and vice-grips...the blown head gasket,,,,,YEP,,it's a blown head gasket,,,u aint gonna believe this,,,but,,,I put a small bottle of "STOP-LEAK" in the radiator,,,brought it back up to temp,,,,,shut it down,,,brought up to temp again,,,and somehow,,,it plugged the head gasket leak,,,


,,,,,I took it through emissions today,,,,and IT PASSED!!!!!!!....TADA !!!!...so I'll drive it for the next year or so,,,,or 5 days,,whenever,,,till the head gasket REALLY blows out...LOL....oh welll....she's got flaws,,but the bitch is all mine now....LOL....


..why yes,,,did you notice????...that IS a 1985 bed on a 84 truck...Original owner had 2 different 84 beds rusted out on him,,,so he said "screw it,,lets try an 85 bed !!!"...Me and the original owner got to talking,,he got me ALL the receipts of work he's done through the years...and there is ALOT of work has been done......MECHANICALLY it has been completely gone thru in past 2 years...blown head gasket, thats ok ,,,,but,,,when I do head gasket,,,this will be the 3rd head gasket change,,150,000 original miles,,,sat for 8 years in garage..anybody else out there have head gasket trouble out of Z-24 engine????




in the passenger floorboard now,,,,,I am carrrying 2-3 gallons of anti-freeze and water,,,and a good toolbox...she'll blow head gasket...,,,soon enough.....
