This is my 2005 Dodge SX 2.0
I bought it slightly used after my sporty 5 speed '98 chevy cavalier lost a transmission for the second time. From the moment I bought this car, I was informed that altering it or modifying it in any way would be set as "uncool" and "totally lame".
But I've never been one to listen to reason. So it's a family-oriented vehicle, but that doesn't mean I can't make it as cool as it can be.
So let's start with the baics:
Year/Make/Model: 2005 Dodge SX 2.0 (still known as the neon in the US)
Horses: 132 (a slight downgrade from my 155 chevy)
Torque: 130 lb. ft @ 4600 RPM
Fuel consumption:8 litres per 100km City / 5.9 Litres per 100km highway (a defininite advantage in these overzealous gas price days)
Engine: 2.0L L4 SOHC 16 valves
Colour: Mineral Grey Metallic
Transmission: 5 speed manual (once you drive a stick, you never go back)
It's not the sport edition but did come with a rear spoiler....I didn't like the spoiler at first, I thought it looked pretty stupid, but now I barely notice it's even there.
I created this page to follow along the steps as I literally pimp my lame ride. With the help of princess auto and www.dealextreme.com, I'll post pictures and step-by-step detail of how I did what I did.
Follow along, Laugh along, and more importantly, Let me know what you think!
Because I'm lazy and don't feel like searching, if you have any information on where to get sx 2.0 parts/accessories/performance pieces, PLEASE let me know.
