This car is my first restoration. My dad and I bought it when I graduated high school in 2006 and I have been working on it little by little ever since. It is a 1971 fastback that originally had a 351 cleveland but I am building a 302 for it.

I installed the crankshaft, pistons and rods back in '06 and started making more progress this year.

The block is bored .040 overstock

The cylinder heads have had a new valve job and are from a newer version 87-93 mustang 5.0

Good looking '71. The 71's are what originally got me into Mustangs. My neighbor had a primered 71 sportsroof that I was trying to buy from him. One day he just sold it out from under me. So I searched and found a 70. Check it out sometime. I'm in deep! Lol

Great work on your engine. It is really going to be different. I like the idea of going away from the Ford Blue. I had one like that when I was younger, but sold it due to a PCS move. Keep up the good work

Did you know this looks like the car in the original gone in 60 seconds movie. It gets trashed by the end. Nice work. Finally sombody as slow as me. Check out my 5 year project.
