Hey, I'm 16 and this is my first vehicle. I got it for a bday present in January. It just sat outside in the snow until I put it in my shop, around the beginning of April. Its a 2001, 4.2L v6 with 180,000k. $2000
The first thing that needed to be changed was the Deck. I just had to be able to listen to my Ipod instead of having a ton of cd's so I bought a JVC deck. $150
The next mod I did was rims. I bought Cragar Black' and I mounted and balanced the tires in my schools auto shop. $500
At the same time I was doing the rims, I was in the process of making my truck safe. I had to resurface the rotors, which I also did at school. I had to get a new 3rd brake light bulb, and new parking brake shoes. I still have to replace the wipers and a couple sections of brake lines. My truck wont be on the road until November. ($85 for shoes, only paid cost = $55)
I just couldnt stand having my truck sit the way it did. I know being a a 2wd truck I didnt want to do a whole suspension lift or even a body lift. I thought the best Idea was to install a leveling kit. I installed the Daystar 1.5" coil spacer kit, all by myself without any air tools. All I had was some instructions and a tool box full of tools, and my dirtbike to ride to my buddies house when I didnt have the tools I needed (thanks dusty). $70
I had shock fluid pissing all over my leg when I had to take the shocks out, so the next day when I went to my co-op I ordered a new set of front shocks. $45 each (only paid cost = $65 for both)
Last week I decided to hook up a sub and amp. So I bought a 12" Kenwood kfc-3011 and an Mtx Thunder Tc2002, along with an E2 400watt wiring kit. I bought the sub brand new from a local store for $50 and the amp from my buddie. The system pumps hard, I'm very pleased with it. $180(sub,amp, wiring kit)
Now I have $50 to my name and I'm unemployed. I've been looking for a job for over a month now and still no luck. I've probably put out 25-30 resumes.
Here are a few other pics.....

The future mods I want to do are a Cherry Bomb Glasspack, K&N CAI, Billet or a stock Honey Comb grille, and paint the bumpers black along with the inside of the grille.
