                                  DeZ24's 1994 Pontiac Firebird

This is a slow paced project right now, since I am out of work and don't have much cash to put into the car at the momment. So far after purchasing the car after selling my Camaro, the engine was replaced after 2 days of ownership. The oil pressure sensor basically exploded and the engine started making a loud valve tap. I had the Bird towed in and the mechanic told me the engine was about to throw a rod. So I had to start searching for a nice used engine.

After a 3 week wait I finally got my car back. The engine was running well but it seemed the car was still a little sluggish. So I dropped it off to an exhaust guy and he replaced the cat and Eureka!

There are still more things that need to be done. Mostly the car just needs some tlc. The guy who had the car before me needs a beating and all of his cars replaced by a damn Vespa!

The car had been sitting for over a year. So, the paint has faded on the front, the Firebird logo on the back has faded, the coolant had turned to sludge, and pretty much all of the fluids were dried up, the wipers were about gone and the inside needs yet another shampooing. Some people just don't deserve nice cars.

Now in January it seems the car has an oil leak. I still need to replace or repair the drivers side door. I finally replaced the filler between the tail lights. Found a nice one on ebay for $20.

So my future plans for the Firebird are....

Paint Job

New rims (i hate these stock rims)

Trans Am rear bumper, aftermarket side skirts and front bumper add on body kit (the RKsport style)

98-200? TransAm Tail lights, I like the round back up lights

dual exhaust

Vertical Doors (yeah i know, kinda ricie, but this car would look great with verts)

Sub box for the corner of the trunk

Trans Am Interior (maybe)

Dude...diggin the story of your ride! And yes some folks should just be smacked hard for the lack of care and interest in a sweet ride...I have seen some real crap in my day. Thanks for the kudos on my TA...I have done some extensive things to the car, but I Love the ride...and I want to spend more time behind the wheel ripping down the pavement, as opposted to being under the hood due to some cheap ass part gone sideways! Use quality parts, and life will be good with that ride. PM me and i can get you some chemical names for the paint...it doesn't look that bad...and there is life after bad paint care! Great Ride!
