Now I have done a few new things to the ranger since the winter time.I swapped out my dana 28 with a locked dana 35 from my old black ranger!I was breaking to many axils!and so far the dana 35 swap has been great!!
I picked up a 1982 f-150 with a 302.4 speed tranny!on 7-16-05 And all of this will be going into my ranger this winter! And of course I will do some mods to the 302 for some extra power!!!
The donor truck and the nice 302
10-15-05 Well I got the 302 running grate!and started to get the motor out. But I decided to take the nose and the cab off! So here are some shot of the cab in the air!
Here is the 302 with a 82 cougar oil pan on the block.
Well I have the 302 in a frame to mock every thing up!just a few shots. I placed a cab on the frame to see how the motor would look inside a ranger! Also something to do with the exsahust
Well I got a new toy.a 8.8 from a exploder with disc brakes. As you can see in the pic...i have to turn down the rotors.and get new brake pads...I am also goin to lock this beast and not have a l/s in it. The thing only cost me $250.cheaper than I thought it would be
pics of the 302 in my ranger and running....still need to do vacume lines...cooling system...and driveshafts and mod the shifers to work in the cab
6-4-06 got the v8 going for good! A pic of the truck with its 2 inch body lift and the 8.8 with disc brakes my new bucket seats and you can see were my shifter is from stock....useing a M5OD R2 from a 1989 f-150 And now the motor!
