History:
Purchased in September 2007 in Colorado Springs. I test drove a 2005 STI, 2007 Civic Si and a 2005 Evo and none of them compared to the RX8. Even though the STi and Evo are faster off of the line, the RX8 was a much more balanced sports car IMO.
Modifications:
First mod was a K&N Short Ram Intake. After owning it for a few months I ended up trading it for a AEM Cold Air Intake. The K&N SRI was way too loud at WOT and my IAT would go through the roof at idle.
Second to come was a Cobb Accessport which I purchased from Mazdamaniac. This by far is my favorite mod to date. Performance gains were significant and with the help of Mr. Maniac my tune is spot on.
Since then I have added an Axial Flow Short Shifter, the Black Halo Racing Ignition and a Racing Beat Exhaust. The BHR Ignition is also a must have for any RX8. Revs soar to redline, idling cannot be any smoother and my mpg went up by 2.
