#'s Matching 1972 Chevelle SS
A little history... I bought this car back when I was 16 for let's just say, a steal. It had been sitting in a barn for nearly a decade, and the owner wished to sell it so he could restore a '69 Nova that he had bought new.
It originally came with .030 over 396 (402 c.i.d.) big block. I spent some time rebuilding it over the summer. We had the Rochester Q-jet carb rebuilt, added an aluminum Edlebrock Intake, a small Comp hydraulic roller cam, plus a set of 1 7/8" primary Hooker longtube headers. I also had 2 Flowmaster mufflers installed, and kept the stock pipes. The images on this page were taken before the car was repainted.
