Thanks for the votes everyone. Upcoming mods of my own for my caliber is a long life list lol. Being a full time student cuts back on the money to be spent on the caliber, but eventually id like to kick it up a notch. As you see the only small mods ive made to the caliber was installing my Clarion Touch Screen DVD/MP3/CDR/CDRW player, love it and ya sorry ima keepin it lol.
2nd that you see is the window tint. Thanks to my buddy Tony Lanno at TintersDirect.ca only cost me $180 for nine windows, and they are ALL illegal limo tint, let me tell you i love it but sometimes i have to open the window to see where im backing up to lol
3rd, i didnt like the dinky little wiper blade in the back, so i removed the whole part out. Using the same plug it originally had for the wiper unit, i plugged it using rubber cemet glue. Its durable, flexable, with stands heat and is water proof. Worked out great.
My upcoming mods, like ive said there's a list. Like ive done to my Ram before hand, everything that was done, was done because of myself and my two buddies Dozer n Jay. So here's a few mods im considering...
a. Buying cheap steelies to throw on the car for a couple of days while the rims dry. I like the simple 5 spoke rim, but i hate chrome and i definitly dont like aluminum. So the idea was to remove the factory rims, sand blast the clear coat that is caked on it and spray them with high heat paint with a couple layers of clear coat. Saves me big bucks from blowing a hole in my wallet for buying different rims, just it all works out as i have planned. While having the factory rims off, will be painting the calipers Red.
b. The bench seat in the back...is a no go. Im trying to find the identicle bucket seats that i have in the front. Beleive it or not im yanking the bench out and custom fitting the two bucket seats that are same in the front and have it set up in the back. At the same time, removing the center console and custom fiberglass a box that runs from where the original arm rest is all the way to the back/trunk. Want to have it set up that i can add a set of 8 or 10 inch subs on both sides of a section. SO the front will have the 2 speakers on dash, 2 speakers on the doors and the two subs added in from the console. The back seat will only have the 2 door speakers and the 2 subs added in from the same center console. The console that i have sketched up that runs from its original area and dragged all the way back to the trunk is going to be in 3 sections but all fit in to a point that you wouldnt realize it wasnt just 1 big piece. In the trunk, you have the spare tire, having that said. The third section that will be in the trunk will have a set up for allowing a couple of amps/subs installed.
c. Custom butcher the grill because im not a fan on the T bar set up of ram. Want it as a wide mouth grill but the idea i have will not allow me to buy the aftermarket ones that are avialable. Basicially using 1/16th of a inch stainless steel tinted black with preferated 1/2inch holes in it. Mesh material like, but used alot for with stand heat and a good beating. I have machined a small 10x10 superman 3D embolym that will be tinted in Red to go on the of the black mesh.
d. Head lights and Tail lights, will be bought off Ebay, i beleive they are altenzza's. All in black little showing of the chrome look a like viewing that i really dont like to see.
e. and last but crazyyedly thought in a dream is to find a way to install either a Supercharger on a 1.8 5speed engine or turbo lol...Hey i can dream ok...thats all for now, thanks for reading.
