This is my 1986 Toyota Sprinter Trueno GT Apex. I got this Bloody Panda about a year ago with only 88,000kms on it and use it as a daily driver. I'd like to turn it into a streetable drift car once I get all the kinks worked out, and being 23 years old, it has a few.
So far I've had to replace the exhaust, the clutch, and the rad. Being RHD, some parts are quite difficult to come by. As you can see the exterior is in pretty decent shape. There are some spots that have started to show some surface rust, such as the hatch and the rear fenders, but so far it's fairly minor.
At the moment I'm in desperate need of a new 2way LSD as the current one whine's like a mofo. Some 21st century suspension will be added this year when I throw on some coilovers, and I'd really like to get a body kit, probably a J-Blood or CBY kit like the ones below.
This is was it looked like when I purchased it a year ago. Not much has changed on the exterior except for the full HKS exhaust, 205/40R16 Nitto Neo Gen's wrapped around my uber cheap 16" XXR 513 wheels, and a "TRUENO" badge on the front.
I just finished completing the rear interior yesterday. I had NAPA make up some color code matching spray paint and away I went. I think the look really cleans up the car and it actually turned out surprisingly well, considering I did it myself.
