I just picked this car up for really cheap. I am in the middle of stripping it down to fix it up for a safety.

Its got an Inline 4, 5 Speed tranny (rare)

Its a 4 door hatchback, currently sun faded grey on the top half and spray bomb primer grey on the bottom half.

Here are some pictures I took after finishing the tear down. Woot Woot Finally

Now I just need to fix the mess up :(

Here is the front, not in too bad shape just need to re-enforce the drivers side suspension

The Passenger side has already been re-enforced

My friend and I pulled the inline 4 motor. It looks like the seals have been redone

We preasure washed it, I will leave it stock.

Discovered this after pulling the motor, cracked clutch arm, a little welding should fix that.

Wheel Wells look like they are in decent condition

If anyone has suggestions on where I can find 2 more of these chome rim rings, I am missing 2.

The previous owner played a bit of tag with it, I just need to pound the dent out of the back door

Exterior of the car is in ok shape

Here is a better look at the dent

Here is the back, found another chevette owner installed a second tail light to each side.

It should look better than a single one on each side

The interior stripped

The boot still good, or is it.

Back passenger side fender has a nasty hole in it, but wait there is more

This is where the mouse nest was, oh boy did it smell bad

There is grass growing through close to the door!

That would explain the mouse nest I found under the back seat :(

The front  dash, I took the racing steering wheel that was in here,

And installed it into the chevette i am currently driving

The driver side floor, not a pretty sight,             Look no grass, started grinding abit.

And a closer look at the floor, More grass!      A closer look at the passenger side floor.

The Passenger side floor, not as bad as the drivers side.

So there it is, Lots of work ahead of me but after this summer she should be back, better than ever.

If anyone has suggestions which colors I should paint it, I am undecided right now

I sitll have lots of time.

Check back for more updates soon!

That is a fair question. Honestly I don't know why. My first car I bought from my brother, it was obviously a chevette. I have really enjoyed driving it, And since I really don't like the RPM's when driving at 100km/h(which is about 3500rpm's) I have been looking for a 5 speed chevette. Now that I have found and bought one, I have decided that I may as well fix it up and drive it for awhile. Thats about the best answer I can give you. Thanks for checking out my page!

I wish you more than luck in your restoration effort. If you go through with it I assure you the car will get attention. Many of the pieces you'll need can purchased through rd@chevette.biz He has supplied me with a number of parts.
