Here's my latest purchase. It's a 1976 280z coupe. It's the fastest thing I've ever owned, but I'm saving the horsepower for the racetrack. I've joined autocross and will take her out on the Talladega Gran Prix Raceway later this year for track day at the Z Nationals.
Take a look:
She's been lowered, and handles like a dream, however she takes bumps and dips a little too hard. I'm trying to find the perfect strut/spring combo to compliment it without ruining the racetrack handling. Suggestions?
The fiberglass addition is not so fresh, so I'm debating what to do with it. It's got some small cracks, and the air dam nose looks like it ran into something prior to my owning the vehicle. What's the best way to deal with small fiberglass damage?
Vrooooom! Original engine with aftermarket ignition coil and cold air intake.
Any suggestions on new engine mods besides turbo?
The muffler sounds sweet, and at 4500 rpm, she sings like Janis Joplin.
The interior needs some love. It has two aftermarket racing seats have a little wear (because they're just a little too big for a tiny Datsun). I've debated removing the second one and making it a full time racecar, but it's fun having a passenger as well. I think I'll install some new gauges and a new carpet kit. I need a fresh steering wheel and a good shift knob. I need to install a new headliner, and the trunk deck needs some new carpet as well.
I'm also going to install swaybars. Anyone have any suggestions?
5-point harnesses for the track...

That was fun!
