The car is slow now but trying to build everything up before I put a nice engine in. Right now it just has a 350 with TH350.

Needspd7's 1974 Chevrolet Nova This is when I just brought her home. Not exactly what I want but after a little time I think that things will look up.

Needspd7's 1974 Chevrolet Nova The rear bumper was already pushed in by the previous owner. The car as a whole looked pretty rust free but that always changes with old cars.

Needspd7's 1974 Chevrolet Nova Needspd7's 1974 Chevrolet Nova                 One of the first things I wanted to do is move the bumper in. Pretty easy, just drill out the bumpershocks and compress them with a vise then weld them in that position. No Custom fab is always nice. Now, doesn't that better?

You know what they say about rust, it is always there you just have to find it. Well, I found it. One of the previous owners thought that layers of bondo and fiberglass stops rust apparently ... And of course under the battery tray the radiator supports was rusted.

So the rust repair begins.... Got rid of the left quarter, tailight section, radiator support, right door and front left wheel well.

Needspd7's 1974 Chevrolet Nova Needspd7's 1974 Chevrolet Nova              The first time I have ever replace a quarter, or really did any type of body work on my own. Not horrible but I would definetly change things if I were to do it again.

Needspd7's 1974 Chevrolet Nova            Needspd7's 1974 Chevrolet Nova        Priming the right quarter. (no rust there...whew.)       Sanding down a new door that I got from craigslist. Sandblasted the front fenders, Needspd7's 1974 Chevrolet Nova and wheel wells and did minor rust repair.

Needspd7's 1974 Chevrolet Nova New rear leaf springs, KYB shocks, and big block springs up front. Nice and rigid now. And I HATE 4 wheel drums, drums in general actually.   Needspd7's 1974 Chevrolet Nova Needspd7's 1974 Chevrolet Nova

Looking better, and sits nice in the rear too. Will drop the front with 2" drop spindles so don't worry about the Cali rake. Next up on the list is brakes, and a cowl hood. Money is a bit of an issue. SAVING....

Now I think that that is SEXY! 13" rotors with dual piston calipers from CPP and 12" rotors in the rear. All drilled, slotted and vented. Overkill? Maybe... I just bought new rims and tires but don't have pics yet. Will get them on here soon. Should be road bound this weekend. Putting in the tranny that I just rebuilt with shift kit.

Yeah, I love CPP products but I think there service sucks. Well maybe not that bad but none the less, not great. I would go through CPP directly rather than different company that just sells CPP products. That way if there is a problem you only have to bitch at the one company.
