PROJECT:RS10 (Rally Sport/S10)

This is my S10 project truck.  As it sits it's a 1999 Chevy S10 4 banger 5 speed, but it has the potential to be one of the best handling street trucks ever built.  It may be ugly, it may be slow, but the focus on this project is for it to outhandle basicly anything.

It is the LS package with the Z85 suspention, 4.10 gears, third door, alloys, a/c, and 60/40 bench.  All of theese will be replace with only the best.  Yes I know this is a truck that is only worth about 3500 bucks.

The powerhouse that is the 2.2l LN4.  Rated at 120 HP (89 kW) 140 Lb/Ft of Tq (190 N-M) (SAE), it ain't a powerful motor, but with the mods detailed on the following pages, I should be able to push 350 HP and 300 Lb/Ft of Tq (SAE).  In all reality, this motor is over-rated, it only gets 75-95 HP and 90-125 Lb/Ft of Tq (SAE) depending on the mileage and if it was hammered or not.  I think mine is closer to the 75/90 rating....

I will pass on the 34's, I am considering 33's max, if I install a 6inch lift. But with the 4 inch lift, 32's work just fine. I dont know about Butler Pennsylvania, but out here in Washington were medium size rocks are all over the place, and the clay is making a mess of things, Large Tread Patterns dont have enough Ground Contact. Hence the Mud-Terrains. All-Terrains are abit small, but the MT's do really well. Thanks for checking my Rig. Good Luck on the Chev.
