I'm Will, I'm 16 and this is my first car. It is a white 1984 Pontiac Fiero 4-cylinder automatic. A guy my dad used to work with bought this car new. When he passed away, the car was left in a barn. A Relative decided to sell it in the fall of 2008 (after 15 years) and thats where I come in.
The car was in decent shape, but defenitely needed some work. My dad and I replaced all of the brake lines, rotors and calipers. We fixed an air leak to the engine causing it to idle wierd. The alternator had frozen up, so we replaced it with a rebuilt one. There are two ways to get the alternator out, either drop it down by removing the exhaust, or take it out the top by disconnecting the dogbone. We tried both because the new alternator was faulty as well. It broke about 5 belts before we replaced it with an AC Delco unit.
The paint was faded and cracked everywhere, so we painted it in our garage. It has been 6 months since the paint job, and the only problem is a small area by the left headlight. Speaking of headlights, those were broken as well and drained the battery in a matter of hours. We solved this by putting custom switches in the center console.
We got new tires and rims from another '84 Fiero. I installed a new Clarion stereo and a Boss Audio 8 inch shallow amplified subwoofer behind the passenger seat.
Now the car is running well, and I love driving around in my Fiero. Ihave another couple weeks of school then Exams. This summer I plan to work on the car more and get it looking even better.
Here are some new pictures.

Yesterday, I took the driver's seat out to repair a rip in the fabric and found this under the seat.

Along with the 1988 McDonald's Monopoly game, I also found $3.26 in change, 2 combs, a very brittle stick of juicy fruit, a cigarette butt and a bunch of dirt. Maybe I can still get the Cutlass!
