2000 Chevrolet Tahoe Limited
Intro:
Just bought this 'Hoe for my new daily driver. It was a local, one owner, and has almost 150,000 miles on it (likely gonna get a lot more). The owner of the dealership I bought it from is a friend of mine and has been driving it for about 6 months.
Motor is a 5.7L Vortec L31 350 that puts down 255hp and 330lbs-ft of torque in stock form. The heads on it are essentially LT1 heads, without the reverse-flow cooling. This was the very last of the Gen I Chevy small blocks.
From where it's at right now I'm planning on doin the stereo, some interior work and maybe(!) a 3" exhaust with a set of Flowmaster Super 40s. Probably not gonna do rims cause I'm savin for the next thing...
UPDATES
12.6.09: Just ordered this Sony Xplod XM-GTR6001 1300w Class D Mono Amplifier for $120 under MSRP. It's rated 600w RMS @ 4 ohms and should handle the new subs all by itself.

12.01.09: Got this Sony Xplod XS-LE121D sub box for my birthday over the weekend. It's got two 12" 1000w woofers for 2000w peak power output and 600w RMS @ 4 ohms. Should add some decent thump to the Hoe. I gotta get an amplifier now...

11.19.09: Replaced radiator, installed 160deg. thermostat & painted brake calipers, drums gloss black.
6.25.09: MSD 8.5mm Super Conductor Wires and Pro Clamps installed:
White/Red gauges and chrome bezel installed (the hard part was getting the needles to line up right again):
The factory gauges light up blue at night; but I gotta go with red:
6.4.09: My polished cold air intake got here today. I installed it this evening, pics below. Looks a lot better than that stock box and hoses. Supposed to be good for 8-15hp.
6.2.09: Headlights, parking lights and corners came today. Everything looks like it's made well and I was shocked cause the projectors in the headlights are real projectors and will have a cutoff line! Should look great when I get HIDs. And no I don't have any light behind the projectors, it's just the camera flash reflecting.
6.1.09: Installed NGK G-Power Platinum Spark Plugs
5.30.09: Cleaned the motor up
5.29.09: The day after I got it
