Here is my project, a 1992 25th aniversary RS. i bought this in Jan. '09. it pretty much sat in the back yard until march when i finally got around to working on it. i never could get the 350 to run right so i ended up just pullin it out and sellin it in april.  turns out whoever had it before me put the wrong size bearings in it and ate the crank up completely.. In may i located a 400 smallblock to put in it.  and only thing i have changed is intake and carburetor so far.  this winter i plan on completely gutting and rebuilding the car the way i want it.. more updates as i do stuff or think of more specifics of what i want.

scrapped the subframe connectors.. gonna go with a Ed Quay rear frame rail with 4link suspension and Strange engineering Rear end.  check em out at            www.EdQuay.com

and possibly gonna put a TPI setup back on this 400Ci when it gets to the rebuild process

                                                  ***  coming soon  ***

Panhard relocation with UMI performance panhard rods ( so i can fit true duals over the rear end)

** coming soon **  20" IROC replica rims

UMI performance torque arm with  loop for tail shaft

new springs, struts, shocks all the way around..

new K member and a-arms, bigger sway bars etc

its just a time and $$ thing right now

6-18-09  no more heat/ac pulled blower motor and ac out of it today.. tomorrow.  remove excess wiring

7-8-09 switched holley 725 carb(leaked) for a 650 edelbrock with a 750 kit in it.  runs sooooooo much better.

7-22-09 torque converter bolts had backed themselves out somehow. so tightened those up.. upgrades are gonna be goin slow for a while.. but i'll be putin more in it soon enough

7-30-09  my bday... nothin special done

7-31-09 found out my oil pressure is way low.. gonna need a rebuild soon if i cant get it come back up

8-1-09 yet again reset my timing..  the person who last did it had it all backwards...  its finally right i hope  will find out tomorrow

8-14-09 cars legal and on the street... the old 400 has a lil more power than i gave it credit for..  just ask my back tires.. or whats left of em

8-23-09 pulling motor and stripping it down and savin for a 421 kit so camaro is out of commission for a bit

                                                 ***Parts im looking for ***

HEY MAN THANKS FOR THE COMMENT I JUST WANT TO RUN A FEW THINGS BY YOU BEFORE YOU GO COMPLETELY TO EXTENSIVE WITH CAR. FIRST OFF, THAT TUBE K-MEMBER YOU WANT TO PUT IN, DO YOU PLAN ON RUNNING LONG HEADERS OR THE REGULAR SHORTIES THAT HOOK UP TO THE STOCK OR STOCK REPLACEMENT. IF YOU WANT I CAN HOOK YOU UP WITH THE EXHAUST SYSTEM I BOUGHT FOR THE CAR. THEY ARE HOOKER SHORTIES WITH THE COORSPONDING Y-PIPE, THEN WE GOT THE FLOWMASTER 60 SERIES DUAL OUT CATBACK KIT. ANYWAY, IF YOU PLAN ON USING THAT K-MEMBER WITH LONG HEADERS AND POLY-ENGINE MOUNTS, BE PREPARED TO INSTALL AND REMOVE THE ENGINE ABOUT SEVEN TIMES. THE K-MEMBER DOESN'T FIT WELL AND NEEDS TO BE MODIFIED. ALSO, HOW IS YOUR 400 HOLDING UP WITH THE 725CFM HOLLEY? WE HAD A PROBLEM WITH A 750 HOLLEY ON OURS AND IT GOT OVER CARBED WE WENT WITH A 600 HOLLEY IN THE END AND SHE RUNS THE BEST EVER. IF YOU HAVE ANY OTHER QUESTIONS, HIT ME UP. BTW I LIKE TANGERINE COLOR.
