Bought the car on 30May09 in Brunswick GA. I'm the 4th owner. The car has 77,6xx miles on it. It's in excellent shape and came with the boot, all the books, etc. It's also a 5 speed. I've got to get a new dipstick for it and find out how to un-cloud the headlights because I'm not quite ready to just spend $500 on replacements without trying something first. After that I'm going to detail the car even more than it has been already. The first thing I've ordered for it though is a outdoor cover from Moss Motors (miatamania.com). I want to use this car for autocross, so modifications will be made to match class rules. Right now the car would compete in C stock, but I may eventually prep it to run in street prepared. Mine's the Silver one:

10Jun09 - Finally got some new pics:

Like I said, awesome car overall. Motor's gonna stay pretty much stock for now because Stock class rules don't allow for much modification. I did put a K&N filter in though.

The trunk rack isn't bothering me a lot either. It'll probably go eventually, but it's not a big deal at the moment.

Trying to make the window moldings look a little better with some back to black. I don't think of the Fuzions as being a great tire, definitely not what I want for autocross. I think my next mod is going to be to put on a set of SSR type C wheels and Bridgestone Potenza RE-11 tires.

The two cosmetic problems with the car... two problems overall... there's really nothing wrong mechanically.

The interior's really nice. Seats are a little cracked which is understandable on a 10 year old car, but other than that it's really nice. Just remembered the radio doesn't play CDs and the driver's speaker is shot, but I don't use the radio, so no big deal.
Went autocrossing at SCCA's Solo race at the N. Charelston Colliseum on 6/14/09. I was told that my time was pretty good considering my car was pretty stock with crappy tires and It was really my first time getting to push the car. It still has more in it though... the rear end broke loose going around the 2nd turn while I was still in first on my best run. Enough to put back in 7th, possibly could have moved up a couple places. Surface was narrow and had a lot of cinders/sand on it. Results are here: http://www.scsportscar.com/content/autocross/results2.php?Event=20090614&Report=fin look at street touring while you're there. I was in C stock. 6.28.09 - Got home on leave and have access to a garage full of fun stuff again. Detailed the car a little today. The headlights look noticibly better and the gold stripes are gone. Also took the loose paint off the front bumper. Gonna switch the front bumper to the '01-05 one eventually. The plan is to switch to the head/taillights from the same model. That should be it for visual mods. The Neon will be getting attention for while. I will at least get the block down in it before I leave.

12/23/09 - got an '01 bumper in the garage ready for paint and have the headlights looking brand new. New pics after the bumper is installed. Car now uses Royal Purple engine oil and since one of the headlight bulbs went out I got Sylvania Silverstars for it. Also installed PIAA super sporza silicone wiper blades since the stock ones needed changed badly. Baby teeth have been removed too.
