Lastly I reinstalled the front stock skid plate and a working Defi Oil Pressure Gauge. I have been battling getting the Oil Sandwich Plate addapter to not leak at all but other than that Its been great. I actually have noticed a small decrease in average water temp upon adding the stock skid plate. I will be installing a set of Grimmspeed (GS) Port & Pollished (PNP) exhaust manifold. The mani has been heat coated and will be wrapped with DEI Titanium Heat wrap since I no longet have the stock heatshields. Hopefully this will cure my heatsoak water temp issue before the summer hits and I have more problems. September 2011: Well I'm finally back on the road. I was able to pick up a PPG Box from a guy on NASIOC.com that was built by AnrewTech Automotive and its awesome! I sound like an RC car going down the road. I guess thats the last straw for trying to be covert. I went from never getting looks to always being looked at. One of my main reasons for staying with the 16G turbo when I upgraded that was to not break my "glass box" transmission. Seems thats out the window, so I suppose as I build my savings account back up I may be looking for bigger power gains as well!I forgot to add on the last update that I was able to get the suspension put on before I left Tx. I picked up a set of Tokico D-Spec Struts, STI springs, Saggy Butt Spacers (1/4"), Whiteline Com-C Camber Plates (front), Group-N Tophats (rear), and a set of Version 8 (I think, the ones that add more caster and correct camber) Alluminum Lower Control Arms. The install went great till I realized I was missing a spacer for the ball-joint on the LCAs that isn't used on the original ones that I have. Then as I tightned the last bolt I collapsed from dehydration. After a long night in the Hospital I was able to get the car back on the road the next day. I had to stop by COBB and have them adjust the rears and add some washers to keep from "Clunking." So far I've been slowly tweaking the stiffness of the D-Specs to get them just stiff enough. I've had to back them off to allow for the car to dive enough for the brakes to keep up and not "shudder." Next on the list is Winter Tires, Installing the LCAs with the proper spacer, Better alignment, and maybe plasti-dipping my center consol black with a JDM hazard button. August 2011: Never made it back to Nc from Tx. I hit a bucket around 4am in Louisiana, no visible damage, kept moving. Made it to Tn/Ga line and the transmission exploded. Unfortunately it seems the two incidents are only coincidental and not related. I towed the car on a uHaul trailer back to Boxer4Racing in Marshall, Nc where the what was left of the fluid was drained and was told the tranny was gone. I managed to scrape a little cash together and bought a used PPG 5 speed box built by AndrewTech. It has ppg gears from 1st to 4th straight cut, ppg lsd diferential, new oem 5th gear, new oem reverse all new synchros, ppg shift forks for 1-2, 3-4, and 5 reverse, ppg billet synchro hub, ppg bronze speedo gear. Should be getting installed in the next week or two. Hope it all sounds good!June/July 2011: Well the heat issue was compounded by what ended up being a blown head gasket. I made it to Dallas, Tx from Nc and went to COBB Tuning, Plano, to see what they could do to help me. They went ahead and pulled the engine and machined it down. Putting Mollie forged pistons, ARP studs, new oil pump, bearings, new turbo heat shield, and the cold weather fuel leak fix. Hopefully the car will be done on the 8th and running again. Not sure if she will get a new tune or not. *Update: Got the new tune, put down 281WHP and 277 WTQ, still working a few things here and there to combat heat, going to wrap my downpipe and probably purchase a turbo blanket. Here's a vid of the car on the dyno at COBB.
