This is probably the first car that I owned that had what I would call good handling and decent accelleration . . . The car has the 4+3 gear box, those not familiar, it is basically a 4 speed, which you can switch an electronic switch and it will put a secondary drive gear after the regular synchromesh gears making them all taller, one often failure of these systems is the servo that switches that gear in, easy fix. I have put different exhaust all the way back from some sport cats, I have put a larger set of chrome intake rales on the car, ported out the plenum chamber, roller rockers, carrol paxton super charger was on her, took it off, fast off the line, but a bear to drive around town. Stock wheels, yea i think i am the only guy in the country still with them. Wider tires however. MSD ignition system, headers, larger intake throttle body and Mass air flow sensor, other than that, pretty stock, I think this year had 225 horse power, not alot today, but fun back then. And the cars do stick, they let go all at once, no rear wheels then front wheels, just 4 wheel slide on the track . . .scary . . .
