My Air-Force truck. Model: D-250, It has a 360 motor coupled to a 727 -Automatic. Its equipped with a hydraulically operated (Tommy)liftgate on the back
I've been driving it ever since i got it almost two years ago.
I'm going to jump ahead into the story:
This is after i did some stuff to fix it up a little better.

I try to take good care of it.

It can't get more stock than this under here-sorry.
It does have a new starter, muffler, and some work i did to the brakes.-done.
Not clean yet under here but,I finally repaired the oil leaking from the valve cover gasket.

Some bodywork and i change around the mirror set.
I also added the cab trim by hand.

I managed to get in some time to work on the body.
(I don't have a garage yet to work on all of this stuff, but i try.)
-New lights,hitch and mud-flaps-
I cut the military-hitch out and install this one.
-The electric brake controller is hooked-up now-

This piece use to be in real bad shape, new seams, next.
I rebuilt the door hinges on both sides of the truck, as needed.
(The panel fitment on the truck is good.)

Looking down a frame rail.

Photo-shop.

Oldest picture i have of the truck.
-The liftgate was added 2002-
Tune-ups:

Above-(First look inside)of the unchanged 360, just maintained.
Runs great and passed through the last smog-test like a new truck.
The Rebuilding of the Liftgate:
(A complete Nightmare to rebuild with all of it's problems)

I pulled all of this stuff out and had it restored,to a new and better condition.

The pump and the motor at the "almost completely disassembled stage".
It wasn't looking so good for the motor, it needed the rebuilding after all.
Motor and Pump assy to the liftgate, after it was professionally rebuilt.
Tack on another couple hundred bucks to the liftgate repairs, and i still had to put it together.
These are a couple of things that i'm still working on:

Trying to perfect the switch that runs the liftgate,
I am still working on 12Volt system, by putting in this 150Amp fuse to the liftgate.
So for here,I raked' the fences inward at the front(lots of welding)and added a set of wheels and a real nice/new Pro-Tech tool box.

How it gets done.

A stack of my now heavily modified fences.

I need to replace the tires.
Half of the way done, here. The ram-cylinder use to leak-I fixed it.
The lights are simple but they work.

I know it looks bad-This is how i test the hydraulic system.
(I had put it back together for the first time)

I want to finish building it and get it painted as soon as i can.

This is the folder that came with the truck from the military's well kept records.
.

Dealer invoices- records and shipping receipts, plus the warranty cards were also included.
That's the photo-copy i have of the Certificate of Origin-from Dodge.(blue)

This is the original purchase receipt for the truck, it's from the year 1988.
