Well it started out an all origional '93 Lexus SC400 in Nov. of 2008. One rainy night in December '08 I drank 3 beers at Chili's, left there to go shoot some pool and ended up in a ditch. I was knocked out for 15 minutes. When I came to I was given several sobriety test, I only passed one. The back support of my drivers seat had broken and my forehead hit the rear windsheild pretty hard. The car should have been totaled but I said screw that...
The body guy said there was no way to fix the damage without a doner car. So I did some research and found the rear clip of a '94 SC300 in Ft. Worth for $1600. It was the same damn color as well. Screw that crap, this is the 3rd green vehicle I have totally f-cked up. So I knew it was not going to be green. A lot of Ideas came to mind on the subject of color. Pearl white, sonic blue, or black. In the end I chose a Dodge pearl black. The car was in the bodyshop for a little over four months. I didn't care, I wanted it done the right way. Everybody was sceptical at first and a lot of people dont believe me when I tell the it is 2 different cars. Nevertheless, the bitch is back and ready.
Mods: K&N Cold air intake, exhaust resonator delete(all three), front strut-tower bar, painted emblems, fresh leather on the front seats, indash DVD sat-nav, tail lights(hated the strip of amber on the old ones), Kazera 18"x8.5" rims, front lip is painted as well.
This is a 1993 SC400 that has been cut in half and put back together. It will still go just past 150mph. With 128,000 miles on the odometer. I have only raced one car that was in my class, it was a '97 Z-28. We're talking a 4.0L V-8(mine) vs. an American made all muscle 5.7L Camaro. I walked all over his ass.
My name is Zack and that is the story of my SC. I will update accordingly.
Thank you to all the guys who worked so hard on this thing at Alvey's Paint and Body Lindale, TX
