WHEELS AND TIRES FOR SALE ON PAGE 2

Currently restoring this 79. This is how I brought it home. 6.6 liter 400 sbc. 6" suspension. Doing all work myself. Body is 90% done. I am airbrush artist on motorcycels so i Plan on painting it myself. Adding 3" of lift to it and have military 41's on 20 " chrome wheels waiting.
5/26/09 -Here are new pics with 9" lift, 41's on 20's. I just prepped and primed it all. Going with a two color paint scheme with something special to break the two colors. The paint will be silver on top and metallic blue on bottom. There will be white true fire in the blue area. The blue will also come up on the cowl induction hood. I also refurbished the Cheyenne logos to look new. Pianting the doors and hood seperate but have to get to that next weekend.

A little better closeup of the wheels and tires. This is a military Michelin XL 41 x 12.50 x 20. I got them used ...gonna ride them for while and get a newer set. Plan on regrooving when get a chance being that they are a 20 ply tire. The rim is a 20 x 10 KMC wheel. Big change from the 15's that were on it.

Finnally BODY WORK COMPLETE.....
I took the body moldings off and welded up the holes for a smooth look. Replaced one of the rocker panels. Currently has 2 coats of epoxy primer on it. Its ready for a high build primer to get any imperfections out. Then the real paint.
I plan on extending all paint and graphics inside door jambs and tailgate jambs to complete the look. Not taking the easy way on this project.
The under body will be completely undercoated. The axles, driveshafts and suspension parts will be coated with POR-15 coating that has a semi-gloss black finish and nuetralizes and prevents rust for 10 years. This stuff works well, it is opposite of paint in that it draws moisture from material and air to harden. The more moisture the harder it gets. It then forms a barrier. works great for patching small holes using fiberglass matting. It is actually stronger than fiberglass resin.
Any area that had rust was either removed or gound with wire wheel and coated with POR-15 before Priming. Now those areas have the POR-15 and the Epoxy primer as hardening protectors.
BY THE WAY I have a set of 38 x 12.50 Gumbo mudders on 15" aliminum wheels for sale now. And I may have a chrome brush guard for sale....not decided on whether I want to put it on yet.
5/28 - JUST BROUGHT HOME $300 WORTH OF ADDITIONAL PAINT!! IMPULSE BLUE METALLIC, SILVER SKY, FEW AIRBRUSH COLORS AND A BUTLOAD OF CLEAR.

AND FINALLY UNTAPED AND IN THE SUN. FOUR COATS OF CLEAR OVER SILVER SKY AND IMPULSE BLUE. AND AN AIRBRUSHED CHAIN TO SEPERATE IT. TWO MONTHS OF WORK TO GET TO THIS POINT. I PAINTED MOST ALL OF THE WEEKEND AND MONDAY TO FINISH. NOW HAVE TO COLOR SAND AND BUFF TO GET A PERFECTLY SMOOTH FINISH.

CURRENTLY WORKING ON DOORS. HOOD STILL NEEDS MODIFICATION WITH THE COWL INDUCTION.
i ALSO ACQUIRED A NEW 40/20/40 SEAT FOR THE FRONT WITH A FOLD DOWN CONSOL. GOING TO RHINO LINE AND DYE THE INTERIOR.
6/3/09 - Ordered a bedliner material to be color matched to the blue on the truck. This will be sprayed in a week or so once the interior is stripped. Got the doors epoxy primed, high build primed and sanded smooth. Ready to start the colors. Welding the cowl induction on the hood this weekend. I fixed a few boken pieces on the grill. Had to fiberglass new mounting brackets. Undercoated the fender wells. Coated front driveline (axle, springs, hubs, steering) with por-15 in a satin black.
Taking measurements to calculate the degreed shims that i need to rotate the front axle to improve driveshaft alignment.
Checked on a sprayed in bed liner. Purchasing a kit that is custom dyed to match the blue and will be spraying it as soon as interior is out.
6/8/09 HOOD MODS AND START ON INTERIOR

SOME PLACES THAT NEED PATCHING AND A COATING OF POR-15. GOT THE BEDLINER MATERIAL TODAY...TINTED BLUE.
SMOOTHING THE WELD SEAM ON THE HOOD NOW. I HAVE THE DOORS ABOUT 50% PAINTED.
WET SANDED THE ENTIRE TRUCK WITH 600, USED A TRIZACT PAD ON IT AFTER THAT TO SMOOTH THE SCRATCHES OUT. THEN STARTED A 3 STEP BUFFING (EXTRA CUT, SWIRL REMOVER, FINAL BUFF). PAINT IS SUPER SLICK NOW.
6/15/09 - NEW UPDATES
I SPRAYED THE THE BLUE BEDLINER AND INSTALLED THE NEW SEAT WITH A FLIP DOWN CONSOL.

I REPAIRED THE DASH THAT WAS TORN WITH SOME FILLER, THEN COATED WITH DUPLICOLOR SPRAY CAN BEDLINER TO GIVE TEXTURE AND DYED IT TO MATCH THE SEATS. ALL OF THE OTHER INTERIOR PANELS WERE DYED TO MATCH.
