UPDATE july 07 2009
finally got a clutch for the 1.8l gti motor and 020 tranny and i was just about to throw them togeather and put them in my car when i stumbled apon a td04 mitsubishi turbo and i decied i wanted to turbocharge the 1.8
ok so the td04 turbo was no good the hot side of the turbo housing was cracked and the internal wastegate had a pinky nail hole in it so i went and got a garrett N/r 42 turbocharger from a turbo diesel mk2 vw and i also got a turbo exhaust manifold with it so the rabbit will be running a junk yard turbo setup more comming soon
i also blew the glass out of my rear hatch and the local gass company wanted 300 for a new piece of glass so i got my hands on a 1976 vw rabbit hatch and best of all no rear wiper (the stock one didint work)
i also got this from the same guy that i got the hatch from its an orginal kamei mk1 rabbit hood scoop i and best of all i got the hatch/hood scoop for $30 bucks
got board and made a shorty antenna
got the hatch painted and it looks ok on the car but the paint isint a complete match but the car is alreaddy many diffrent colors of gold
also wile i painted the hatch i painted the primer gray fender and like above the paint isint a complete match but the car is alreaddy many diffrent colors of gold
