Here is the latest progress. I am still working on ideas for the tail lights.....I have the side markers welded. There is a ton of rust in this car, but that is o.k.. I am trying to get it somewhat ready for a show in Lebanon, TN on Sept. 18,19, 2009. I have 3-1/2 weeks. Damn----a lot of work to do.
I had to reconstruct the entire corner of the quarter. Welded exact gauge sheet metal in place, the done filler work of course. No shade tree work done here.
I don't know if ou can see it, but I had to replace the lower corner to the left of the Gas filler nozzle, and just to the right of the tail light, just above the bumper. Right where it bends in.
Update, I have figured it out finally. Tail lights from a 1970 Chevy Nova will do the job. They're not as bulky and obscene, more slim & clean. Just the look I am going after.
