We bought the car for $625 in Texas. the engine was all bailing wire and duct tape and didnt run. the poor thing had been badly abused. It was 3 different colors. had no brake system at all .no lines or master cylinder. the inside was a joke back seat out of who knows what front seat not bolted down no carpet or door panels or handles das was all but gutted.     But we couldnt just let it die.

At first we were not sure what to do with the car. so it sat for a few years. I did some tinkering but it wasnt till we moved to tN the bug hit me. this was going to be all rat rod style. that lasted about 6 mounths. the mores things I fixed and replaced, the more parts I found the more it came to a life of its own. It still has a hint of rat rod but it is now like its name CUSTOM. A little of this and a little of that. some of the dash knobs were gone so I found some small skulls that were just the right size. the previous owner chopped a big hole in the floor and was using a long rod to shift the gears with. So when I found complete auto floor shifter with all the hardware still in the box at a flea market for $10 that solved that problem. the white FORD skript on the trunk is another one of those rat rod or not deals. the skript is off a ford 9N tractor hood there is a matching on under the hood. the previous owner hacked a huge hole in the trunk to open and closed it with a tire iron so the 9N skript and a little plating along with an internal trunk releace and another problem solved

The arm rests are mid 80 Benz and the interior lights are mid 90 lincoln. wood grain steering wheel was a great ebay deal. A lot of parts are from ebay. if you are carefull there are some great deals there. I got things like the back bumper, tail light leneses, inside door handles, the list goes on.

The leaf spring saddles and rear shocks are 87 dodge ramcharger. the previous owner had a bunch of angle iron and bent bolts so the old shocks were just flopping around. the axle is 77 and the frame is 58 so working shocks were a problem, after a few trips to the local pick & pull yard with a tape measure 87 ram saddles worked best. new shocks for 3/4 ton dodge and just a little frame mod.

The engine had points ignition which was wrong for that engine and it just wouldnt time right so I installed a duraspark 1 system from a 75 ford galixie to see if it will perform just a little better.

soon to have purple neon lights on the underside but have not got that all worked out yet. need to do some fab work so they wont look cheep and will reflect well.

Got neon in but need to do a little tweeking and get more night time shots to get the right look.

added a few more details dual anttenna, vintage nos wind gaurds and a blanket from san antonio tx the cars home town. also added a new hood scoop insert and some bud vases inside as well as some more skulls.
