ConvertiBubble, or 'Wobble' as she's sometimes called, is a 1997 K11 Nissan March Cabriolet.

March Cabriolet's were a professional Cabriolet conversion from the Nissan factory and were made for the Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) in limited quantities only.

I believe there may be around 500-3000 made, with maybe only 20-30 in the UK. See, this is the trouble I have! So few people know about it, I have trouble getting any idea on how rare they are! lol

As standard, March Cabriolets were given:

1300cc engine; ABS (with vented discs); PAS; Air Con; Electric Hood (with a manual function also); electric windows; double-DIN head unit; Map of Toyko interior; and special blue dials made only for the Cabriolet to name a few.

I believe mine has had a few dealer options added on such as:

6 CD autochanger; Sat Nav and sideskirts (which I believe are from a March Tango, another special edition)

I have now had my Cabriolet since January 2009 and have clocked over 4000kms already! She's an absolute hoot to drive, and I get so many stares from people wondering what I'm driving! I've added a couple of mods onto her like:

35mm SPAX lowering springs; uprated Bilstein gas dampers; clear side repeaters; optional splitter (not shown on this page) and the original JDM head unit.

She is an unusual and brilliant car, but does suffer with the usual cabriolet ailment of scuttle shake; and I find the 1300cc engine has a lot of trouble pulling the additional tonne of weight to the Micra/March frame, due to all the strengthing and extras, so it also makes for dire fuel consumption/gas mileage.

But she is a FANTASTIC car, I love her to pieces and certainly won't be thinking about another car just yet! More mods are planned in the future to bring her up to par with my friend's Cabriolet (the red one seen in the pic below), but all in good time!

Please get in contact with me if you have any questions or comments; or if you know another person with one of these, or even if you know anything about them - then let me know!

Thanks for reading!

Very interesting micro. I have never seen one of these before. It's always cool to see the different cars that get posted on here from outside the U.S.
