TheBugBox's 1965 Chevrolet Malibu

As picked up

Most Recent Picture.

Installed a 502 cu. in. crate engine, turbo 350 with 2500 rpm stall and 2.75 first gear.  Demon 750 Carb, Hooker headers with 3" Pypes Exhaust and cut-outs.   Upgraded to disc brakes (had to get some whoa for the geaux!).

Fun times!

Thanks Bobby for the help! The 502 is a heavy sucker...

Here's the 350 when I bought the car, and the 502 after.

The picture on the left was a point of no return.  When the car has nothing to roll on, this kinda makes you feel funny...   On the right, after upgrading to disc brakes.

After re-wiring the car, and the dash.  Need to do something about those floor pans.  They are good, but someone put sheet metal down...  Odd..

Left to do:
Upgrade the rear end to Posi and 3.73 or 3.90 gears.  Replace the quarters, bumpers and then start on body work.  Install A/C and potentially a supercharger.

Ok, finally some progress!  I have my car, COMPLETELY legal for the first time ever.  Texas is a great state to register an antique vehicle in!  I also changed the power steering unit, as it has been leaking since I bought the car.  Should be able to drive it this week.  I'm sure I'll need to get everything re-aligned...
