fiftygrand2001's 1966 Buick WildcatI have a 66 Buick Wildcat.  The body is pretty much primered down with the exception of the top, hood and the trunk lid.  The body is primered down  with not much left to do. I have started on it, but put it on hold to finish my vert.  I was tryin to pull them both out this summer, but i have decided not to rush this one and take my time and go through the whole car and do it right, complete frame off.  So i will keep yall posted and updated on the status of the vehicle.  Im planning on putting a 383 stroker in it with a 350 turbo tranny with a shift kit and a stall in it or I might just rebuild the 455 and 400 tranny and go back with that in it.   Any suggestions just hit me up.fiftygrand2001's 1966 Buick Wildcat Im gonna sell the car if i dont get to it soon.  Instead of it just sitting up and letting it go to waste, i would rather see someone do some good with this, cause i dont have the time to get to it.

Looks good, take your time and do it right. Personally I'd leave the nailhead in it, they make alot of torque and power. The 383's never make the power they say they do. The nailhead will look better when you pop the hood and will run better. I believe your cat came with a SP-Turbo 400 a great trans if you get the right shop to rebuild it. There's alot of info on the web, here's just one site. Be safe.http://www.hotrodhomepage.com/hrhp/2005/12/02/losing-the-overdrive/

The engine in it should be a 401 (Wildcat 445) or a 425 (Wildcat 465). What's wrong with yours? The one in my '65 Wildcat hasn't been rebuilt and it's still running fine. I really like the Buick Nailhead engines. The 1965-67 Buick 400 trannies are also great and they have a switch pitch converter.
