The 1977 Accord

I didn't mean to... I've already got my '79 models.

But its owners wanted it to go to a good home, they mentioned $50! I wanted to give more than the $150 I had at the time, they agreed on $100, I gave them $150 anyway but still would have liked to give more. Not what I expected when a friend said he wanted to check out a "parts car".

I thought it important to get a shot of the last owners; they had had it since 1982. But the husband ducked at the wrong time.

And their "new" Honda, the husband admitting it wasn't as nice to drive in some ways; probably lacks the Accords torque. Wife was worried about trying to keep up with him when they delivered it(!), since Accords speedo hadn't worked since they took it to the dealer for a new clutch!

She's a little scruffy at first glance but has been given lots of attention over the years, albeit of a more practical than perfectionist nature.

As usual dash has cracked in the sun, & drivers seat is coming apart at the seams.

What do you expect after 32years & 268,000km?

Still spotting Soooo many little differences from my '79, it's unbelievable! At first glance it looks the same... but isn't.

An unexpected bonus; the fairly rare accessory roof console with spot lights that was in the back of the car. Should I fit it?

Black against an off-white headliner with a beige interior might be a bit obtrusive!

I didn't know those differences too! I know, that the European Accords have that hood emblem not chromed - it's black rubber. So there are three different emblems!

$150 pretty cheap you could really get that shit going in a couple years once you dont got to mess with smog anymore
