This is my 94 thunderbird,I started the work May 7th / 09. Started with removing the front bumper and headlight assembley and left fender. The hood needs to be replaced with a used 1 from the auto recyclers, too many small dents in it to be used.
Its now may 11th , had a few days of crappy cold rainy weather, but today was looking good. Had to modify the inner bumper/fender brackets as i snapped all 4 trying to remove the nuts from them. I grinded , then punch out the old studs and put in new bolts and taked then to the brackets , then cleaned them up and hit them with rust paint.
Here is the bumper with first coat primier and the left fender after i sanded everything with 600 grit and the fender after the first coat of primier.Im just using duplicolors ready to paint system and i got to say it works really nice. Im glad i bought those paint guns 3 years ago.
So i got the headlight clip and fenders hung back on the car , nothings lined up yet. I was going to paint all the panels off the car ,but it'll be much easier to do it on the car , and besides i miss driving it, haha. I did such a good job on the fenders ,that my nieghbor thought i bought new ones.
