Here's a picture of DAZOOOM, a day after purchase in October 02. It's a 01SE, and had 1170 miles on the odometer when I bought it. Six years later, I have 53K miles on it, with the last 13K miles being supercharged.

In May 06, I had BRP install a MP62-R4 kit. DAZOOOM dynoed at 235.5 RWP/205 torque, on a DYNOJET. I had the 65/140 pullies, and my boost gauge indicated 16 psi at max boost. I'm using a TDR IC, as it performs better than the 3 different ones that BRP provided. I had a man in Florida do all my polishing, including the sc before it was installed.

The hand crafted, stainless steel intake manifold is the heart of the R4 install. It utilizes a fifth injector, controlled by the Split Second Controller, for aditional fuel when in boost. Overall fuel management is controlled by BRP's, ELF Fuel Management System.

With all the power I would be running, I had BRP install my AUTOMETER gauges, using a DIN gauge panel from THOMPSON AUTOMOTIVE. My JVC headunit, was satellite ready, and I've had Sirius Satellite Radio for several years.

I also have Tom's Oil Filter Relocation kit installed. The picture of it below, was before I supercharged DAZOOOM. Almost SIX years, and NO problem ever with the kit. All his products are quality!

In March 07, I replaced the stock MP62 manifold with a larger one from Fast Forward Superchargers, and had it polished, before installing it. I also swapped the 140 pulley down to a 130. Max boost now is 13.5 psi. I don't want any more as this is a stock engine.

On the exterior of DAZOOM, I have a hard boot and dual exhaust. The rear view mirror is auto dimming with compass. I've since changed my license plate from DA RDSTR, to DAZOOOM, after having the MP62-R4 kit installed. When Winter sets in, I put the factory hardtop on. Not for long though!

Also installed cross drilled and slotted rotors, early on, and painted the calipers yellow. The picture was taken in the Valley of Fire, outside Las Vegas.

Interior mods include swapping out the tan door handles and door inserts and replaced with black ones. Had the console top padded in tan leather, added an engine start button, and replaced all the vents with chrome ones. A Wolfe alarm system helps to keep prying hands out of the car. Installed stainless pedals, too. Katzkins replaced the original leather, a Robbins heavy canvas soft boot and an IL Motorsport style bar, finish off the interior. I use the soft boot, vice the hard boot, when traveling long distances.

In October 03, there was an ALL Mazda show at the Las Vegas International Raceway. Lots of Miatas from all over the US and Canada, and lots of nice people.

DA RDSTR won FIRST PLACE, even before supercharging it.
