I originally bought the Turismo as a parts car for my Shelby, but after I got the motor to break free I thought I'd see what I could do with it. It was in sad shape and needed lots of repair. The outside wasn't too bad but the floors were rusted out. It also took a laundry list of stuff to get it roadworthy again but I just couldn't bring myself to cut the car up for parts. The bottom pic is a before shot and the other 3 are after alot of hard work.

I added some more pics of the carb adapter now that it's welded up. It'll fit nicely under the hood.

THATS A GREAT LOOKING CAR, I WAS GOING TO BUY A HORIZON TC3 AS A WINTER BEATER, BUT I WAS HOLDING OUT TO GET IT FOR CHEAP, SOMEONE GOT TO IT FIRST. GOOD LUCK WITH THE BLOWER CONVERSION, KEEP ME UP TO DATE.

would it have possibly been a 1980 024 "Detomaso"? it had the 1.7 for that year but had a very nice looking appearance package with a brushed aluminum roof band, fender flares/ front spoiler, side window louvres,
