BUDZILLA's 1969 Chevrolet Corvette

I have enjoyed this project very much. I thought that C3s would be an easy resto, but with all the vacuum accessories, fiberoptics and of course fiberglass, it was challenging to say the least.

I didn't have a #'s matching car so I decided to take what I had and bring it back as close to original as I could without the original drivetrain.

Well that's about it for now. I hope to have a better set of photos soon because it is time to start another restoration 1967 Chevelle Convetible.

Nice-looking early C3 restoration! I always liked the look of the front and rear chrome bumpers. My end-of-the-run 1982 Collector Edition has the urethane bumpers front and rear, and in 1982 they offered only the TurboHydramatic automatic and a 350 with Throttle Body fuel injection (fortunately, mine runs very well with no serious interventions, which may be due to its very low mileage -- about 23,000 original miles). I would enjoy if it had a manual transmission, but that would destroy the value of the car, and mine is an all-matching numbers car. BTW I spend every other weekend near Inverness -- my weekend place is near the Citrus-Sumter line on the Withlacoochee, just south of FL 44 off Boy Scout Road. Sometimes I do take my Corvette there, but only when I know the dirt road into my place is in good shape. I will NOT be driving it up for the long Memorial Day weekend with all this rain this week. I will take my Rumble Bee instead!
