This mid-engined superleggera Factory Five GTM has an all aluminum Corvette LS6 mated to a Getrag G50-01 from a Porsche 911. The steel tube chassis has an aluminum skin and fiberglass body to retain strength and reduce weight. Not for the faint of heart, Car and Driver tested a GTM in 2008 and clocked a 3.0 second 0-60 run, ranking it as the second quickest car the magazine has ever tested. A few custom features include ABS, traction control, AC, heated seats, IPod adapter, cruise control, dual cold air intake, I-Squared electronic management, power mirrors, Vacek louvers, and more. The envy of onlookers and gigantic babe magnet are standard equipment.
With a roof height of 40" and rear width of 62", the GTM is 9" lower than the 2009 Corvette but over an inch wider. This motor pumps out over 400 horsepower and it's lighter than your wife's Mazda MX-5 Miata (<2400 lbs). Finally, the slight rear weight bias keep the traction on the ground and makes this GTM ready for the autocross, drag strip, or church on Sunday. Oh, and I built it.
