The search is finally over! I finally found the first car on my list. 1964 lincoln continental. White with burgandy interior. Real good shape just a couple of minor deficiencies. So I plan on getting started ASAP. I want to thank all the suicide riders on cardomain because you all help me get aquainted with the car before I purchased mine and I got different ideas and learned the differences between all the models. Now hopefully I can count on your help to help me work the bugs out. This is my first restor. Found this one in tennessee from a man settling his parents estate. garage kept, 106,000 miles, everything original. So heres where Im gonna need the advice:
power antenna not working (all fuses good)
passenger window doesnt work
tilt steering not working
power door locks stick
need air compressor
there is way to much play in the steering wheel, have to oversteer to the right
horn works when it wants
wipers wont shut off right away
really could use some ideas for stereo, does the whole dash have to come out to access the speaker? I just want clean sound, and IPOD hook up
Well those are my priorities other than the vibrating brakes and the really loud power steering noise. Future plans include complete interior restore (all black), tint windows, gangsta whites, want to put a 61 front end on it, thinking of going black.
Future cars include 67' GTO, 70 Chevelle, 86' Monte Carlo
