1989 FORD MUSTANG- CHEVY KILLER!

boxcarracer89's 1989 Ford MustangThis is my 89 ford mustang and i got it when I was 16 years old.  When I got it it had a 4 cylinder, but it was standard, so that was good at least! I started to buy a rear end for it, I got an 8.,8 saleen rearend with 3.73 gears and disc brakes, then i started to buy suspension for a 5.0 HO engine I had just bought for it. It came with BBK longtube headers, so I bought a BBk X-pipe to go with it and 40 series flowmasters to go along with it. I then replaced the carpet and painted all the interior black, then I pulled the little 4 banger out while I had the 302 completly over-hauled. I bought everything for a conversion to a v8 from the harness and computer to the rearend and the gas lines. Through this build my uncle Joe and I did everything on the side of the street in front of my house!

After having it completly over-hauled I had many problems with it and finally figured out it had reverse compression, so I loaded it up and took it to my uncle Andres who lived in El Paso to have him build it for me. He sold me a 347 stroker and I had bought some tfs twisted wedge heads from him and had already bought a e303 cam and a holley systemax intake 2.

We pulled the 302 out and droped in the 347.

While I was up there I bought 32lbs injectors and a big mouth mass air sensor. I also bought gauges and a tacometer while I was up there. After we finished I drove it back home with no problems.

I have yet to run it at the track, but I am anticipating mid to high 12 with slicks on.
