This is my new project car. It is a 1991 Nissan 240sx Super Hicas 5 Speed. It is definatly not in the best shape, but I bought it because it has full posey rear end with the 4 wheel steering set up for drift racing. Which is exactly what I wanted the car for. And it also has a 1991 S15 Silvia engine swap in it. Which is the exact same engine with bigger...everything. Or so I was told, but I hace alot of homework to do...

Some minor rust on the spoiler, but every single wing that is taken off ends up rusting.

The first main thing I am going to do to the body is change the lights. Instead of flip up lights, I want lights that are fitted down into the headlight compartment. So if ANYONE has any suggestions, please let me know, I could use all the help I can get. =]

Some fiberglass racing seats would be nice too. Rather than these old ratty lookin ones. haha

These are all of the spare parts and parts that need to be put together before the car is able to run.

Zman_817's 1991 Nissan 240SX

The engine is really clean, it's just not 100% put together.

Here you can see the gay pink interior pieces. haha

Here is a good picture of the drivers seat the makes it almost look like it's in good shape. lol

NOT!

Recently, I tore out all of the interior and cleaned the living hell out of it.

My god, the first guy to own this car, must have been gay because he painted ALL of the removable interior pieces bright freaking pink!

The first picture is all of the parts preped and ready for primer. lol

Here is the trunk completly stripped and cleaned. I sprayed the back of the rear seat with a rust eating silver primer.

Here is the drivers side door panel taken off and stripped.

This is the s15 swap as is. There is so much that was unplugged, it's no wonder the car didn't run. But we have to pull the whole intake manifold and the exhaust manifold and replace it with the s13 manifolds because the s15 doesn't match up. But damn is it sweet! lol

Zman_817's 1991 Nissan 240SX

I took the front bumper off because it was not mounted all the way. And I am glad I did, because the the front of the frame is so bent, I don't even know how the bumper matched all the body lines. On top of that, the whole bottom is rusted off so when I took the tray off, all the nuts snapped with rust.

This may seem gay to some people, but I think it is pretty tight, I replaced the shifter nob with a light up nob. With three settings.

END OF INTERIOR

This is the Engine work so far...

Here wr pulled the intake manifold off and this is what we found! lol

4 Ports and 8 valves. God that's sick! ha

This is where we dropped the entire manifold and put the brand new s13 top end of the manifold on.

Looks pretty sick!

This is my mechanic Lenny, teaching me about the new Ka24de engine. He is running the exact same engine in his 510 Datsun Racecar. That is a sick ride! =]

This is the new header being finally bolted up into place. And all of the vacume lines hooked up PROPERLY!

you should keep the flip ups, peronally i think they look better. a 240 just isnt a 240 without the flip ups. and thats not a cat back its just a test pipe that replaced the cat. i have one of them too.a cat back is everything from the cat back. good luck on your 240, theyre lots of fun to work on. come check mine out.
