bigbad4runner's 1991 Chevrolet Blazer nothing out of the ordinary, i picked it up for an EXCELLENT deal since the 4runner is out of commision for a while, no rust and perfect interior with rebuilt motor and tranny for $750, how could i pass it up?bigbad4runner's 1991 Chevrolet Blazer

bigbad4runner's 1991 Chevrolet Blazerok so i'm starting to think about fixing it up some even though i swore i wouldnt, problem is lift kits are insanely priced for small amounts of lift and i just dont think its worth it, also i have my 4runner for riding trails and what not. plus this thing doesnt have a spec of dirt on it. anyway here is my idea, i love this body  style s-10 and baby blazer, i have never been too crazy about the 4x4's as a whole anyway, but i think it would be a great idea to try and find some suspension and a transmission from either a cyclone, a typhoon, or a bravada, possibly all three even. i figured i could take the tranny out of a bravada and have the right gearing and all time all wheel drive to match the typhoons and cyclones. the only other thing i'm not sure about is if its just the wheels and tires that make the suspension seem wider or what. i dont want to throw 18's on it and have them poking out looking stupid. o yeah one more thing idk how i would go about lowering it cause idk if a 2wd lowering kit would work on a peiced together 4x4/allwheeldrive. any way i just think it would be awesome to have what i think would be the only 4 door typhoon clone, and i keep saying typhoon cause GMC's are alot better grill wise lol anyway ANY advice would be greatly appreciated

OK first of all what you need is a transfer case from a Typhooh,Syclone,Bravada,Astro or Safari. The transmissions are the same as your Blazer. And yes the 4X4 is wider at the wheels than the 2 wheel, therefor the wheel back spacing is differant. Late model Corvette, Camaro or Firebird wheels are pretty close. Last there are no lowering kits on the market exept for lowering blocks in the rear, but the front is height adjustable at the adjusters at the rear of the torsion bars in the cross member. Pat
