Exterior Treatment: Expressions Body Kit
No offense intended, but I never understood the fascination with AMG body kits. AMG tuning, I understand! That said, I think this Expressions Body Kit is the face lift the old 300CE Cabriolet needs. Some will argue: "Why mess with a classic?" I have no excuse. Life is short.

The Expressions Kit replaces the old hood with an SL Type Hood that integrates the update grille. It also replaces the front valence, bumper, and the side and rear skirts. The side skirts give the appearance of lowering the car about an inch.

I didn't stop with the "appearance" of lowering. I added a set of Ebach Sportline Springs which actually lowered the car nearly two inches. It is critical that you add a set of K-Mac Camber Adjusters to this car when lowering it. If not, the negative camber will chew up the rear tires in less a few thousand miles. Unfortunately, I know this for a fact! It took me that long to find the K-Mac adjuster (out of Australia). Mercedes didn't even know about them. Thank You Australians!

Paint Work! I used John Holt (Hotwheels Atlanta) to squirt the car. John insisted on a late model Mercedes black to give the deeper color. He said the older paint codes included to much white. I agree! John also pulled all the OEM Chrome and painted it a matching black to give that Triple Black treatment! By the way, John installed the body kit ... don't listen to the manufacturer ... this part isn't easy. I'm glad I didn't DIY!

The final exterior treatment was wheels. It makes the car. I got lucky at Butler Tire in Atlanta. Hiro Sugano hooked me up with a set of Staggered 18" AMGs. He put 9" on the rear with Pirelli 255 P Zeros and 8" on the front with Pirelli 235 P Zeros. Thankfully, I had John Holt "roll" the rear fenders before painting. There is barely room for a credit card between the rear tires and the fender.
