Welcome to my 1980 Pontiac Grand Am site. This car was purchased new in 1980 by my family in Bellevue, Wahsington. In 1980 Pontiac made 1,647 Grand Ams. In 1981 the 2 door model was gone, and previous years didn't receive the same sort of subtle mods that made it into production in '80. I acquired the car from my Father in the mid '90's with aspirations to one day stuff the engine bay with something a lot more fun, like a big block Pontiac motor or even a small block Chev. 15 years later its still bone stock except for a Turbo 350 transmission upgrade and a recurved distributor. The odomoter currently reads about 98,000 miles.

Interior is well equipted with power windows, door locks, tilt, criuise, factory moonroof... and about everything else you could get on it , with exception to leather, buckets or console w/floor shifter. Wheels are also factory original.

The car has never been wrecked and has never been driven on salt treated roads. There is absolutely no rust anywhere on this garaged perserved classic. Full set of factory gauges, stock steering wheel, factory casette stereo. Hasn't been licensed since 1998.

Engine is stock 301 Pontiac mill that came from the factory with a 4 BBL Quadrajet. Rearend is factory posi, though I have no idea what the gear ratio is, feels like 2.40's... unfortunately no smoke shows in this cruiser, at least with this set up.

These pictures were taken in April of 2009.
