"The Beast" was given to me by my Aunt Sarah. This truck was bought new by my Uncle Edgar as a farm truck. After a few tough years on his farm he gave it to my grandfather Earl. This truck has only had 3 owners including me and only has 78,000 miles. Its a 225 Slant Six. MY FIRST VEHICLE RESTORATION and my first MOPAR VEHICLE!!! Anyways, after my Granfather Earl passed away in 2003 my Aunt Sarah took possession of the truck. However, she never drove it and showed her no love for 6 years. For 6 long years this truck sat in the backyard under a pecan tree in Valdosta Georgia. She called me and advised she had been threatened by the city with fines for the non licensed un registered truck. At a drop of a hat I rented a trailer and made the 3 hour drive from Daytona Beach. When I saw her for the first time in years, I realized that she wasn't as bad as I had remembered. So I rolled this heavy beast up on thje trailer and the rest is history. After a bit of routine maintanence, I turned her over and she runs like a champ. Just had the carb rebuilt and i'm currently in the process of resoring the interior and cleaning up the engine for paint. Check back often to see my progress!
