1. 1998-2002 Trans Am WS6
The 98-02 LS1 Firebirds were the fastest ever produced. Under rated at 320-325 horsepower with ram air. Dyno testing by "Muscle Mustangs, and Fast Fords" show 321 horsepower at the rear wheels. All LS1 cars will make 350-370 horse power at the crank bone stock depending on weather conditions and other factors. To make a long story short they were under rated to make Corvette owners happy. Catch my drift? The quickest LS1 was also tested by MM&FF. It ran 12.8 at 108 mph in the hot summer weather. The article is located on Stangbangers.com. As far as the years go. The 1998-2000 models had a slightly larger cam, and the 2001-2002 models borrowed the LS6 intake manifold from the Corvette. Power was kepted at the same level. Reguardless of year, or model "An LS1, is an LS1" Plain and simple.

If thats not enough there is a phase two package that makes 435 horses! Yikes. A Phase II equiped Trans Am would be capeable of running 12.0's all day long at over 117 mph.
