1953 chevy short box stepside sitting on a boxed frame, camaro front clip, aluminum fuel cell, powered by 350 the meat on the back is a set of N series Mickey t's ,Chopped, lowered and shaved. the rear fenders are all metal and have been widened 4" to fit the tires. I will dig out the pic's for the build stages. my wife and I did most of the work. Unfortunately after we finished, it had to be sold to finance the rest of the toys in my garage. But it was fun to build and the looks that it got were worth it.
Used polished aluminum diamond plate for the firewall cut it out with a jig saw, not much fun until an old timer told me to hold a wax candle against the blade while cutting WOW it worked, kept the blade from clogging.
Just a quick check to make sure the front clip was going to fit . About 3 hours prior to this my wife and I were putting the motor in place I was warning her to keep her hands clear when the engine hoist let go and my finger was caught between the frame and the motor.Quick trip to hospital saved finger got stitches and got motor in by bedtime. Lesson learned, leave wife alone she knows what she 's doing...
Ok its in and all the frillies are added. Got to fire it up . Next to a harley it was the sweetest sound.
Special thanks to Randy Smith at Randys Engines of Stayner. This is one mean 350. Oh yea, an apollogy to all my neighbours ( at this time I was living at Wasaga Beach) for all the cars and noise.
I recall many times it just sat in the driveway with the pipes roaring.
