June 26th 2009 :
- Today was a good day.. we got some amazing deals. Brand new out the book fuel regulator and HIDs for $30 combined from two different deals. it was good shit.
- Also put on a new driver side tire.
- We need a pressure pleate, walbro fuel pump and 440c injectors now.
June 19th 2009 :
- We temporarily resolved an issue with the gas line throwing too much gas (90psi). We are going to buy a hasbro fuel pump, adjustable fuel regulator and the 440cc injectors this motor needs. I'll keep you posted on when we resolve this matter completely.
- Went out and bought two tires for the back (a little wider than the ones in the front) as the tires we had were extremely BAD. I ran into a good deal tonight and should have new tires this weekend.
- So just to recap there are a couple of issues to be resolved this weekend:
1) Tune up (oil/cap/rotors/etc)
2) Putting in new front motor mount
3) Getting new tires and rims from my boy Rob. Hopefully get to swap them tires to my current rims and stash the remaining tires/rims in my closet for next project.
4) Work on acquiring fuel pump / adjustable fuel regulator / injectors
June 12th 2009 :
- Got the car back from the guys @ Low Budget Racing NYC (jEA!!) they are off the hook. and their cars are vicious. PLUG : http://www.lowbudgetracingnyc.com/
May 19th 2009 :
- Apparently the project has been ranked as #1 for a good 24+ hours. Interesting:
- Although an accomplishment it showed to me how lame people really are. And how much haters there are out there for no reason. I'll be the first to admit that the car is undeserving of #1 rank as it is a new project and all. Regardless of said point though there is no reason to be a douchbag about it.
- Apparently having a bodykit makes your car slow and automatically negates all your work on the project. Who knew a spoiler kit would automatically make your car a ricer! People need to grow up or put their pinks up and test their theories. Straight up.
- Got to speak to a really cool person today! she rocks. you know who you are :D with your sweet ass teg.
May 17th 2009 :
- Traded my 15' Si rims for 17' that match the car nicely.
- The car is being towed to Long Island tomorrow to get tuned.
May 11th 2009 :
- There were some trouble during the swap because there were two swaps going on at the same time that complicated everything and some issues weren't resolved till the end. Basically we have to swap/replace the harnessed on both cars (gsr integra <-> mine). P.S. After the entire ordeal I ended up acquiring the gsr integra to resolve the matter at whole.
- Loco, a good friend of mine donated a stage 3 racing clutch to the car. Very happy about it!!
- Pictures coming tomorrow
May 10th 2009 :
- We succesfully swapped over the fully rebuilt GSR ("poor man's type-r") motor into the car. The motor came from my previosu project - a 96 Integra 4DR.
Will post pics later today!
May 9th 2009 :
- It was decided that we are going to swap my poor man's type-r setup (b18c1 block/b16 head) fully rebuilt with ~2500 miles on the motor onto the car. The XSi motor (b16aII) idea will be put on hold for the time being.
May 7th 2009 :
- The Main Relay Assembly failed on the car today. The symptoms? We weren't getting spark and car turned on RANDOMLY. It also shut off while I drove.
We had to replace it in order to get the car driving again.
NOTE : I have to re-do the electricals throughout the car there was a lot of hacking going on and exposed cables.
