DROPNIN's 1998 Toyota Tacoma Hey there,

Thanks for taking the time to check out my work in progress.  I have a 1998 toyota tacoma I bought in 2006.  I am the second owner and as of now it is far from stock.  I plan on keeping my truck in the family forever.  I bought a tacoma because of its reliability and readily available aftermarket parts and accessories.  I am not a big fan of debt either and I paid the truck off pretty quickly.  Now that I am payment free I have added lots of sweet parts.  Performance mods include a jardine cat-back exhaust and K & N FIPK.  I have an alpine CD head unit with ipod full speed interface.  I also installed alpine componets up front and an infinity sub in the rear.  I bought an ARE topper to protect all my gear and on top of that is a yakima and rocky mount bike rack.  Just in the last week I installed a toytec lift.  It looks amazing and rides incredible.  I replaced the rear bumper for a Front range offroad fab bumper.  I like the black on black and I am not a big fan of chrome.  Soon I'll be getting 33 cooper stt's wrapped around a pro comp black rim.  After that the pan is for a shrockworks front bumper with driving, fog lights and a winch.  I live in Colorado and I need a capable rig to get me into the mountains to snowboard and mountain bike.  Stay tuned for more pics and  mods...

The KM2's and the rims are fine though, and they do very well off road....pretty quiet too.

Hey gorgeous truck man... thanks for stopping by mine. In answer to your question, mine rides like crap, I have a spacer lift. The springs are quite compressed. I needed something to clear the tires for the time being. Will spend money and do it right someday. It does the job though.

NICE TACO MAN! I WAS LOOKING AT SOME OF THE OTHER COMMMENTS UP HERE, AND "localsurfer63" IS NOT ENTIRELY ACCURATE, WHEN SPEAKING OF THE TIRE RUBBING. I'VE GOT 33'S ON MY 4RUNNER, AND THE ONLY RUBBING I GOT WAS ON THE BOTTOM PLASTIC VALANCE AND MUDFLAP. I DID SOME TRIMMING, AND IT'S ALL GONE. YOU MAY GET SOME RUBBING ON THE FRAME IF YOU KEEP YOUR STOCK RIMS, BUT IF YOU GET NEW RIMS WITH A BACKSPACE OF 4.5" OR MORE, YOUR GOLDEN! CHECK OUT MY 4RUNNER SOMETIME AND LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK!
