Hello all,

My Name is Adam and I am a storm chaser from Chicago. My new chase vehicle is this Expedition. It was pretty stock when I bought it and I have been slowly modding it to fit my storm chasing needs. Chasing is extremely abusive on a vehicle and I needed something tough and rugged. I have owned and been a fan of Fords my whole life. My previous chase vehicle was a 1997 Ford Aerostar which never once let me down and managed to go 175,000 miles before the head gasket blew.

To view my storm chasing website visit www.aerostorms.com

I have allot of projects planned for this truck but here is what I have done so far:

-Added all terrain tires to handle the Kansas mud

-Added front end grille guard for hail and downed tree protection.

-Added taillight guards for hail protection.

-Rain guards on side windows for...well...rain.

-Black bezeled headlights because they look cool....

Ok so maybe not everything I have done and will do is chase related. Idealy I would like to put a lift kit on it with some 30+ inch off roading tires and the whole setup but considering the fact that being higher up will put me at greater risk of being rolled during severe wind and/or a tornado I have to keep it as low as I can. Im going for lifestyle practicality here, not over modded...even though I would like to. If your looking for a truck with over sized rims and too many pointless TVs inside, this is not the vehicle you will like.

The appearance right now is more secret service looking than storm chasing vehicle looking, but that will change big time. I am designing custom hail guards out of stainless steel. The interior will also have many gadgets installed in the future. I have only owned the truck a couple months and these chase toys arent cheap.

As far as performance mods go, I probably wont do too much. This truck isnt going to the race track, its going off the paved road and into the storm. I may add a simple K&N filter and do some other tweeks to maximize fuel efficiency, but thats it.

The only thing that wasnt stock when I bought it was the billet grille.
