this is the only MK1 scirocco that is diesel powered, though this never came from factory, i swapped the turbo diesel engine from a 86 jetta
current modifications
-rebuild the 1.6L turbo diesel
-port and polished the head
-ARP head studs
-1.9 turbo diesel steel head gasket conversion
-custom cold air intake
-3 inch down pipe with 2.5 inch straight pipe exhuast
